Inside a Writer's Process

Jenni Desmond is the author of the children's picture book Red Cat, Blue Cat about family rivalry.  Her blog post below gives a rare insight into how an author moves through conceiving the idea to publication.

The book gives hope and encouragement to authors writing childrens' 'therapeutic stories', a small niche market.

What I find inspiring is how the author remained open to exploring this idea and refining it, taking time to sketch in her pad until she was clear what the real message was.
